Basic Ceremony Video — Now Included with Photography Packages
After more than ten years filming and photographing over 500 weddings across Queensland, we kept hearing the same thing from our couples: many wanted at least some video of their ceremony, but weren't ready to commit to a full videography package.
We listened. Every wedding photography package (except Elopement) now comes with the option for a basic ceremony video at no extra charge. No second-shooter fees, no videography add-on — just a clean, edited film of your ceremony delivered alongside your photographs.
What the basic ceremony video includes
Our basic ceremony video gives you edited, full-length coverage of your wedding ceremony from two stationary camera angles. We set up two tripod-mounted cameras before the ceremony begins — typically one from the front capturing both of you, and one from further back for a wider view of the venue and your guests.
Each video includes:
- A short cinematic opening sequence
- Full processional down the aisle
- Your vows and readings
- The ring exchange
- The announcement as a married couple
- The recessional walk back up the aisle
The finished ceremony film is colour-graded and edited for a polished look, then delivered to your private online gallery so you can share it with anyone.
See it in action
The video above is from Lilly and Connor's wedding — a real ceremony film captured with our basic ceremony video setup. Two cameras, no dedicated videographer, just your photographers doing what they do best. This is exactly the kind of film you'll receive with your package.
How it differs from full videography
Our basic ceremony video is exactly that — a beautifully edited record of your ceremony. It is not the same as hiring a dedicated wedding videographer. Here's the key difference:
With our basic ceremony video, your photographers set up two cameras on tripods before the ceremony and manage them alongside their photography work. There is no separate camera operator following the action. That means you get a clean, well-framed ceremony film, but it won't include the cinematic movement, multiple dynamic angles or extended reception coverage you'd get with a full videography team.
If you're tossing up between our basic ceremony video and booking a videographer, think about what matters most to you. For many couples, having a simple, heartfelt record of their vows is more than enough. For others who want highlight reels, speeches, the first dance and everything in between, a full videography package is the better fit.
A few things to keep in mind
Because the cameras are stationary and operated remotely, the final result can be influenced by a few practical factors:
- Venue acoustics — echo or background noise can affect audio clarity, especially in large open spaces
- Lighting shifts — outdoor ceremonies may change from sun to shade as the day progresses
- Guest movement — a well-meaning uncle who steps into the frame can momentarily block the shot
We always edit and colour-grade the finished film for the best possible result, but it's worth knowing that the basic ceremony video is a bonus addition to your photography package, not a replacement for professional videography.
