What Was Said
It was right before COVID and originally Jack swiped left, simply because of the spelling of Arran's name. For those of you who don't know, left is the wrong way. But after thinking about it and acknowledging that her own name is also spelled a little differently, she swiped right and they had an instant match.
Now after their very first meeting, Jack knew she was indeed in love. So Jack has always been my protector and my hero. She really is. She has done everything she can to help me and put me first. She looks after everyone and anyone who is in her circle in her life. She tries her hardest to make sure that everyone feels special no matter what their special thing is. Whether it is someone's love of affection, words, or gifts, she will make sure that she finds what your thing is and she will meet you there and do it for you.
Growing up we were both dancers. We were raised very much with musical theatre as our life, so we danced together and that joy just came from both of us. Growing up, she would always need to fix everything and make everything perfect. You'd go to do something and she'd say, "That's not quite right, I just need to fix that a little bit more," but then it would always make everything so beautiful.
We first met in nursery, so we were about three years old, and then we grew up through school and high school. We used to live in the same village, so we just grew up and played on the streets and stuff. Arran used to be a little bit dopey at times because we'd play hide and seek and hide in a bush, but you could see his feet because he had big feet. Just little things like that made him stand out, it was quite funny.
Then we used to go to the driving range together, golfing, and we used to play cricket as well when we were younger. He wasn't really a big drinker, so he was the first one to get drunk and then the first to be sick. A few times I had to look after him and give him my spare t-shirt because he'd spilt something on his own t-shirt. We've got a lot of memories together.
The first thing, probably, is Xbox. That's his big thing. He likes to play FIFA, Football Manager, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. He's always been into gaming for a long time, and as kids, if it was a rainy night, we'd go and play on the Xbox throughout the night and just play games with each other. He's a very fertile man. So this one, this one, and this one—these three are my sisters, and then the one that is carrying... They're going to carry all day. These are my three. Yeah, my future wife's cousins' kids.
When they came back to the UK last year, I got to meet her and she's really a lovely person. I can tell why they're together and they seem a really good match for each other as well, so I'm proud to be his friend and be his best man for the wedding.
Arran surprised Jack with the proposal on their second anniversary. Jack had been looking forward to that date for quite some time as the date was the 22nd of February, 22. With all those twos, it had to be something special.
I don't know what the future holds, but I promise to spoil you during your shining moments and your weakest hours. You are my angel and soon to be my forever wife. I promise to always take responsibility for your farts, or at least blame Georgie. I'll never let you take the fall. I promise to always be your biggest cheerleader, your partner in crime, and the one who will gladly go along with all your elaborate stories and schemes. I promise to start making more choices instead of saying, "I don't mind, whatever you fancy." Good. I promise to keep laughing with you and, no matter how much older we get, stay young at heart, always finding joy in life's moments. I promise to spend the rest of my life showing you just how grateful I am for you and your immense, selfless, and compassionate love. When times get tough, I know we'll face every challenge side by side, growing stronger together. I promise to continue building our family unit, keeping our relationships with our nearest and dearest close. I've always admired how you bring people together with your calm, patient, and kind heart. I can't wait to continue this journey with you. I love you so much. Now let's celebrate.

It is with great pleasure that I declare you to be husband and wife. Arran and Jack, you may now celebrate your marriage with a kiss.
So when Jack met Arran, Jack had a really difficult time finding someone who accepted her for who she was. I'm going to tear up now again. But Arran really does accept her. With the nerdy stuff, he brings that out of her and he accepts that for her and lets her shine. No matter if it's the silliest thing, he will always just tell her that she's perfect and she's right, and he tells her she's right. That really brought that loving side of her out and accepted her. She was able to actually be herself now with his support and his guidance and his love.
Congratulations Arran and Jack. I really love you both so very much and I'm so glad to have you both.
So Arran and Jack, congratulations. I wish the whole happiness for you for many years to come and hopefully it won't be too long before I see you again.
But it's more than that. They're the perfect match. They balance each other out now. That's quite a catch. Support every dream, big or small, and together I know they'll conquer it all.
