Chloe and Brodie Our Story Sandstone Point Hotel

**Celebrant:** Our couple met through mutual friends back at the end of 2014, start of 2015. That's correct, over a decade ago. And when I said they met through mutual friends, it was more perhaps the algorithm. It was more mutual friends on the social media app, I guess you could say. If I have the story correct, I believe it was New Year's Eve. Chloe put up a post and said, "Like this status for a private inbox." Brody saw the invitation. He liked that status. She then sent him a DM and conversation started. They connected and in their words, they have never stopped speaking. They've never looked back. **MOH:** Chloe, you are the kindest, most loyal and most fun person to be around. Even though life gets busy, every time we catch up, it's like no time has passed. What I do know is that here's her perfect match. The way she talks about him, the way they just fit together, it's clear she found her person. **Best man:** Not only have I been privileged enough to see Brody grow from a boy to a man, but also a loving and caring father, as well as a devoted partner to Chloe, and also a bit of a romantic. As some of us have seen firsthand from his late night Snapchats while Chloe's working, you've got a main windmill on your smithy. **Celebrant:** Brody told me he was definitely attracted to Chloe from the start, but not only this, she became his best friend. He never looked back. He loves how she makes him happy every single day. Oh, and it helps that she's pretty gorgeous as well, he added. **Best man:** Don't forget when Brody first told me he wanted to get married. I told him I was very flattered, but I wasn't quite ready to settle down yet. **Brodie's best friend:** Brody, you are by my side experiencing all of the questionable, yet wonderful things that teenagers do. Our teenage years truly were some of the greatest times of our lives. Most of those great times were spent at Andrea and Stephen's house. **Brodie's Mother:** From a blonde, curly-haired toddler who could win you over with his cheeky smile, to now a grown man still with his blonde, curly hair and cheeky smile, we are very proud of you, Brody, and what you have achieved in life so far. You have always loved fun and adventure, and were always thoughtful and caring. And these traits are certainly on display with your commitment with Chloe and the gorgeous family you have created together. **Brodie's Boss:** There was always a bit of friendly banter about how Brody wouldn't be able to keep her around, but here we are today, and I think that we can all agree that he's proved us wrong. **Best man:** Chloe, you look amazing today, as well as every other day, Harry Smoothing. Over these last nine years, I've been able to watch you grow into an amazing woman, mother and also a best friend. **Brodie's best friend:** After the bucks weekend, I can confirm that Chloe, you definitely look better in a wedding dress than Brody does. **Celebrant:** I love the way that Brody became her biggest supporter, and the way that he always encourages her in life, and became her safe place. Chloe loved watching him become a dad, and how he's so hands on and helpful. **Brodie's best friend:** Can we all just take another moment to appreciate how beautiful Chloe and the bridesmaids look tonight? **Brodie:** Okay, you look like your favourite parent. **Brodie's best friend:** Brody, you look like your favourite parent. **Chloe's Best Friend 1:** It has been such a joy to watch them grow together and build such a wonderful life with each other, full of love, kindness and support. I'm so happy to get to be by their side on their special day and celebrate their love for each other. **Celebrant:** They arranged their first date, dinner, at the very fancy Hogsbreath in Hervey Bay. It went really well, and they continue to date and catch up ever since. In their words, when they first met, they were young and silly. The BC days—before children. Let's just say examples of silly times may or may not include some orange coats. Brody knew he wanted to propose, and propose he did. Chloe and Brody were down the Gold Coast on a holiday with a couple of friends and families. Brody had organised to take Chloe on a hot-air balloon over the hinterland down the coast. They landed that balloon safely and had breakfast at the restaurant, all organised as part of the date. They then went on a cute little walk beside the creek. And it was there he asked for Chloe's hand in marriage and to make him the happiest man in the world. I'm guessing the answer was yes, because we're standing here about to get the two of you married. Ten years since first chatting and liking that status. **Chloe:** Brody, you are my best friend, my forever partner and my greatest supporter. I'm excited to be here today to become husband and wife. **Brodie:** Chloe, I'm so excited to be here today to make this commitment to share the rest of our lives together. **Chloe:** As a reminder, I began to tear up. What do I say to a person who has given me everything I've ever dreamt of? **Brodie:** I take you as my wife, my best friend and the love of my life for as long as we shall both live. **Chloe:** However, I'm excited to embrace this new chapter into our lives and continue to make beautiful moments together. **Brodie:** People say that relationships are difficult and that love is hard. But I can't relate to that. Our goals and visions for the future aligned early when we both realised that we wanted similar things in life. **Chloe:** We have accomplished so many dreams that I didn't know were possible. We have already made some big claims for our future with so many more exciting things to come. **Brodie:** Chloe, in our ten years together, we have accomplished so much and faced so many challenges. But we continue to smash our way through each and every thing that comes before us. Chloe, I'm so lucky and grateful to be doing life with you. **Chloe:** Brody, you're my light, my laughter and my safe place. You've shown me a love I didn't know I could have. I vow to honour that love, to nurture it and to grow with you through every challenge we face. **Brodie:** I vow to be the husband you've always dreamed of having, a husband who loves every part of you and supports you in every way. **Chloe:** I've found my home in your heart, my joy in your smile and my strength in your love. **Brodie:** I vow that you will never face this world alone. I promise to be by your side in conflict and to face challenges together as a team. Holding you tight when things are good and tighter when they are not. **Chloe:** I promise to hold you close and love you deeply. Watching them with their daughters you can see how much love, joy and adventure fill their home.
