**Celebrant:**
Like so many couples of the 21st century, Pete and Chantel started talking on a dating app, and through that realized that they knew each other and were friends on Facebook.
**Celebrant:**
Pete said Chantel liked his posts. She can't remember any of his Facebook interactions, although Pete saw it as a sign that they were meant to be together.
**Celebrant:**
Chantel described Pete as a genuine person who has a kind nature and is intelligent, spontaneous, motivating, and confident.
**Celebrant:**
Pete said that as well as being an amazing mother and putting up with him, Chantel is caring, loving, has a huge heart, and would do anything for him.
**Best Man:**
He's got a lot of charisma, handsome, upfront, really good in his career and all that. Just a really good bloke.
**Chantelle's Mother:**
Hi, daughter Chantel. When she was a young girl, a baby, she was a good-looking dolly. She got the nickname Dolly because she was so cute.
**Chantelle's Mother:**
The most beautiful blue eyes and the golden blonde hair. Always happy. You couldn't ask for a better daughter than that.
**Best Man:**
She's brilliant, really patient, and a great mum. Yeah, really nice.
**Peter:**
My beautiful wife Chantel, thank you for putting up with me with all the bullshit. We've had our ups and downs over the years.
**Peter:**
Your patience is probably a big one. You've got a big heart. You're a brilliant mum to Mahalia.
**Peter:**
You're basically anything I could have asked for. So I do appreciate it. And here's to my old memories.
**Celebrant:**
It was after Chantel's work Christmas party, and they were both pretty drunk.
**Celebrant:**
They already had the ring, so Pete decided to propose.
**Celebrant:**
I guess Chantel said yes, because here we are.
**Peter:**
I call upon everyone here to witness that I, Pete, take you, Chantel, to be my lawful wedded wife.
**Peter:**
Here we go.
**Peter:**
Dolly, from the moment I met you, we reconnected back in 2002. You became a part of me in a way that I could never have imagined. In those early days, we were just two souls drawn to each other, figuring out things and having fun.
**Chantelle:**
From the moment we first met, I was drawn to your genuine spirit, your intelligence, your drive to succeed, and your spontaneous, fun-loving nature.
**Peter:**
Spontaneous adventures, me being an ideas man.
**Peter:**
In December 2014, when I asked you to marry me, it was because I wanted to spend forever with my best friend. Building our first home was just the start of our beautiful life we created together. And with every memory we made, my love for you grew deeper.
**Chantelle:**
We are growing together, facing life's good, bad, and challenging moments, overcoming every obstacle with resilience.
**Peter:**
When life took me to Rockhampton in 2016, I knew our love was strong enough to span the distance. And in 2017, you gave us precious Mahalia.
**Peter:**
Seeing you as a mother made me fall in love with you all over again.
**Peter:**
I'm all good.
**Chantelle:**
Through our dedication and sacrifice, we've built a beautiful life together. A life that reflects the dreams we've pursued, the accomplishments we've celebrated, and the moments we cherish.
**Peter:**
Today, we've built a life filled with laughter, strength, and endless love. Moving to Queensland in 2022 was the next chapter of our story. One I'm grateful to write with you.
**Chantelle:**
Our greatest achievement was becoming parents to our beautiful daughter Mahalia. And every step of this journey has brought us closer today, as we stand here together.
**Peter:**
In front of everyone we love and those watching over us, I vow to be the partner you deserve.
**Chantelle:**
I promise to work towards a future filled with peace and joy and share a life with you, full of love, laughter, and adventure.
**Peter:**
To love you with my whole heart, to support you in all your dreams, and to be by your side through every season of life.
**Chantelle:**
I vow to love you unconditionally, to support your dreams, and to care for you through all life's seasons.
**Peter:**
I promise to keep you laughing and growing together in all the years to come.
**Chantelle:**
I promise to love you today, tomorrow, and forever.
**Peter:**
Dolly, you are my forever. I love you more than words can say, and I'm honoured to be yours today and always.
**Celebrant:**
No longer simply partners and best friends, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Kids, you should look away, it's time to kiss your bride.
**Celebrant:**
They plan to be happy and healthy, travel around Australia and overseas, and invest in some new toys like a boat.
**Celebrant:**
Together they love to go caravanning and travelling to explore new places.
**Celebrant:**
They both acknowledge that the birth of Mahalia on the 29th of May 2017 changed their lives.
**Celebrant:**
He works hard to provide for the family, basically he gets shit done, and Chantel looks after their health and well-being while bringing common sense to the relationship, which apparently Pete needs because he still parties like he's 18.
**Peter's Father:**
I would like to wish my son and my new daughter all the best for the rest of their lives.
